Each project is unique. That said, a general outline of a typical design project follows these stages:

1. Initial Interview, Research and Analysis

   Before we do anything we need to talk. We learn about your company and product/service. We define the goals of the project, and a set of deliverables.

2. Design Brief

   From the initial meet and greet, we will formulate a design brief outlining the projects goals and scope. If you are happy with this then we can move forward.

3. Concept

   We transform all the thoughts, ideas, knowledge and excitement into a website layout that will balance usability and aesthetics to appeal to your target audience.

4. Feedback and Refinement

   At this stage you provide feedback, we make revisions to the initial design and, work with you until you are completely satisfied.

5. Coding and Implementation

   Once the design is finalised, we build the website templates and implement them. We code and configure your site to make sure it's user-friendly and has the technical infrastructure to support its purpose.

6. Deploy

   Your Website is almost ready to go live. But before we launch your site, We put it through a series of tests to ensure it works properly on various Web browsers and that it functions according to your specifications. After your site has passed our tests, it's released to you and uploaded to your web host. Design work is officially completed, and your new website is now live on the World Wide Web.

7. Updates and Maintenance

   It's well known that the most effective websites, in terms of user response and search engine rankings, are updated frequently.

   We can train your staff in the relevant processes, or we can continue to maintain your website on a pay-per-hour basis. If you’d like to do some proactive maintenance or add new content to appeal to new customers, it's quickly and easily done.

Design 3W offer competitive design and web development rates. All rates and fees are dependant on the size and the complexity of the project.
Larger projects with extended timelines require a percentage deposit up front, with milestone payments throughout.

Starting a new project generally requires an initial meeting or two to make sure we are on the same page. Skype or phone is also fine here.

Status reports and communication during the course of the project are best done with email in order for all of us to have a history to refer to.

It depends on the scope of the work.
For a web design project, a good timeframe is typically somewhere between one and three months from start to finish, once we have all the information about the project and the content that is required

For logo design it usually takes two weeks to present you initial concepts. A third week is reserved for fine tuning and polishing the chosen direction. If you decide to hire us for a complete corporate identity, an additional two- to three weeks are usually needed for completion of that part of the project.
